A trustworthy doctor is in money trouble with the prominent chief of his town. To solve his money problem, the chief offers him an opportunity which will dissolve his debt and earn him some recognition in the community simultaneously. The job is to gather the young women in town to become nurses in France. The good doctor puts his reputation on the line and enthusiastically fulfills the job. However, upon the completion of the job, he discovers that the whole thing is a lie and that the girls are going to be sold into prostitution in Italy. Now, how will the doctor get his good name back?
